GENE KEY 22 | spots of time.
My favorite part of Richard’s contemplation of the 22nd Gene Key is when he shares about the English poet William Wordsworth’s concept that he called “Spots of Time.” These are small, memorable events that occur mainly outdoors and in touch with nature. According to Wordsworth these spots have lasting quality and are capable of “lifting us up when we are fallen.” I love this so much and makes me recall so many “Spots of Time” in my life, especially here in Montana where I feel so connected to nature. These moments of grace stop me in my tracks. I pause and listen and carry the moments with me always. I also think about the endless Spots of Time” I experience with my beloved Northern Flickers. They always show up reminding me I’m right where I’m supposed to be and always guiding in perfect timing.
